Giulia Ferrari

Giulia graduated from the University of Bologna in 2012. After spending several months at research institutes across Europe, she gained her GP Certificate in Oncology through ISVPS. She subsequently worked in veterinary hospitals across central and northern Italy, developing a particular interest in oncology.

In 2017, Giulia moved to Edinburgh, where she completed a PhD in veterinary and comparative oncology, followed by a specialist internship in oncology at the University of Edinburgh. In 2021, she relocated to Leeds, where she led the oncology department at a busy multidisciplinary referral hospital before joining a dedicated oncology referral practice. In 2026, she began providing oncology consultancy services for VPS.

Outside work, Giulia is a qualified yoga teacher and loves the great outdoors. Her favourite activities include mountaineering in the Alps, rock and ice climbing, wild swimming, surfing, and hiking with her dog.
