Shona Haydon

Shona graduated with honours from the RVC, London. She spent a short time in mixed practice before venturing up North to work in a Veterinary Hospital in West Yorkshire, offering both first opinion and referral services.

She gained her certificate and Advanced Practitioner status in Small Animal Medicine in 2013. Shona has always had an interest in ultrasound and finds it invaluable in the diagnostic process. She has spent the past four years working solely in a multidisciplinary Referral practice.

She particularly enjoys feline medicine, and using diagnostic imaging as a window into the body to further understand a patient’s illness.

In her spare time Shona loves being active outdoors, spending time her fiancé, young son and the chickens. She enjoys walking in the hills, climbing and exploring new places. She also enjoys pottering in the garden, experimenting with which vegetables can persuade to grow where and seeing what recipes she can cook with her home grown produce.
